Sunkist National Tour with the Sunkist Beauties and later the Fanchonettes dance troupe (the west coast predecessor to the Rockettes)


1923 - 1930
The Ideas – Elaborate live stage shows in the nation’s movie p
alaces performed before the feature film.  There were up to 52 Idea productions a year, which included elaborate staging, vaudeville acts and performances all related to a single theme or concept.  These also would include the glamorous female dancing troupes of the Sunkist Beauties and the Fanchonettes.

Fanchon and Marco Theatrical School.  Past students and and performers 
working with Fanchon and Marco included:  Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Shirley Temple, Ginger Rogers,             Dorothy Lamour, Cyd Charisse, Betty Grable, Joan Crawford, 
Will Rogers and May West.


1930-1940
Fanchon was the first female producer, producing musical and dance n
umbers for feature films for Paramount, 20th Century Fox, and Republic Pictures as well as the Ice Follies and the Hollywood Bowl.  Fanchon and Marco where former owners of the Roxy and Paramount Theaters.  Marco continues to work in theater management and production including producing several of the Academy Awards and introduced the concept of stars presenting the awards.
